KeymasterMake your Hungarian Grand Prix Pass of the Year nominations below.
As usual, name what you thought was the best pass of the race. Those with the most nominations will go into the Pass of the Year poll at the end of the season.
Here are the previous threads for this year which are still open for nominations:

ParticipantHamilton on Vergne. Bold, decisive and crucial for his race. Would have said Ricciardo on Hamilton had they been on equal tyres but Riccardo was well over a second quicker at that point.

ParticipantHamilton on Vergne. Very rarely do I shout ‘YYESS’ when an overtake happens, but that was just mega. It was similar to Alonso on Vettel at Silverstone.

Participant+1. Hamilton on Jev.

ParticipantMaldonado on Bianchi – a classic!
My (serious) vote goes to Ricciardo getting past Hamilton, as he didn’t attack in the predictable DRS place, but instead hung back a little at the last corner, made sure he got turn 1 just right, then threw the kitchen sink at Lewis into turn 2. Really enjoyed that one, particularly as it was his second attempt.

ParticipantAnother vote for Ricciardo on Hamilton, great pass on the dirty line and lewis knowing it was coming, and what to expect.
I remember lewis saying on ’08 that he doesn’t get passed around the outside :)

ParticipantHamilton on Vergne easily for me. T4 is not an overtaking spot, and they were on similar age tyres. Ricciardo on Hamilton was good, but he had a MASSIVE tyre advantage, and outside of T2 is actually quite a common spot for overtaking.

ParticipantForgive me if I have my facts wrong but I enjoyed the Ricciardo overtake on Alonso when he came from deep and beat him on the breaks. I agree it was a DRS overtake but the distance he came back from, the quick flicks filling the mirrors and then getting the apex was a good move. The Hamilton on JEV was a very good move don’t get me wrong but from my point it looked as if JEV gave him too much room and gave him the corner because although he was 2nd he was never going to get any further or hold the position so why would he defend and waste time. Good move still however. Much can be said for the overtake by Hamilton on K-Mag.From a standing start in a wet pit lane with limited practice starts and then beating him just on the start looked impressive.
