ParticipantHi we are going to the Belgian GP for the first time this year and we are staying at Camping Eau Rouge, does anyone know if we need any particular adapter for the electric hook up there? We are staying in a tent and have opted for the electric hook up but not sure if we just need the two pin adapter plugs or if we need one of the blue European adapter thingy’s!
Also does anyone know how long of a walk it is from the campsite to the circuit and what entrance is the nearest?
Thanks in advance

ParticipantDear Vince, Camping Eau Rouge is southwest of the circuit and is about a half hour walk to the track.
You would come to the track at either Rivage or the Paul frère curve, both are at the far end of the track in the more countryside section.
There seems to be a few routes available depending upon whether you want to walk along the roads or through the forest. just follow the crowds!!29th July 2015, 17:04 at 5:04 pm #302698Vince Fitter

ParticipantFolding chairs are just fine but with GA I really recommend going as early as 6:00 to get a good spot.

ParticipantHi,
Well having booked my tickets and camping around xmas time 2014, it’s finally less than a month away! My 1st Spa visit and only my 2nd ever F1 race (Silverstone 92. Go Nigel!!).
Surprise trip for my 17 year old son and trying to keep it from him has been a struggle. Not sure who’s the biggest kid between the 2 of us :-)
Anyway, travelling from Hull to Zeebrugge on the Wednesday night and camping at Elephant Thur-Mon am. Thanks to everyone that’s given advise throughout the topic. Certainly helped me.Cheers.

ParticipantHi Vince
This will be our 4th time of staying at camping eau rouge over 5 years we love the Spa grand prix. From the campsite all weekend at the top of the hill your find they do a free shuttle bus, this does stop sunday afternoon so you will have to do the 30 min walk at one point but at all other times you should be ok using the shuttle bus.
the campsite is great you get a great mix of nationalities and they have a bar as well
Every morning a lady comes to bring fresh bread, rolls, crossiants for sale so you can stock up as you head for the circuit
Pouhon def the best place to sit, iw ould recommend chairs for sunday but you could get away with a mat for friday and saturday especially if you want to walk round the circuit
There is a middle road that cuts through the circuit as well to save you walking so many hills.
We will be in a green tent, ford focus weith reg beginning AO09 if you want to say hello
In the town of Stavelot is a carrefour and the other way into Malmedy there is a Lidl and a Carrefour hyper marker. Stok up by friday night if not it looks like locausts have been through and they dont stay open very late

In Stavelot there are restaurants, bars, take away places as well

Thanks very much for your useful information.
There are 3 of us coming for the first time and we are looking forward to it immensely! We have been to Silverstone for the past two years and decided we wanted to try a different one, Spa is my favourite track and race on the calendar so that is why we booked.
I will look out for you when we get there and pop over to say hi. We should be arriving on Thursday morning hoping to get a good spot at the campsite.
Have fun!
Vince

Participantwe are arriving on Wednesday Vince so will see you there.
Spa is amazing we only missed last year as we did Silverstoner and Austin texas. This year we did Silverstone and now waiting for Spa.
We will be going to the pit walk on Thursday you have to drive from our campsite and parking is free for the pit walk we can give you directions / you can follows us / catch a lift
You can anything you like into the circuit with you do stock up on fodd and drink as the optinos at the circuit are bad its waffles waffles and nmore waffles and dodgy coffee plus expensive beer. Its way cheaper and tastier to take your own in and if you like tea take your own as they dont even sell it at the circuit.
Be prepared if you sit on Pouhon to dig your chair into the bank you have seen nothing like it until you arrive, a shovel is a valuable item
Wear good walking shoes /boots your need them
We usualy take ruck sacks plus a cool bag on wheels for sunday
Clothes pack for all weather 2 years ago after qulify we got back to campsite in lovely sunshine, stopped for a beer at the bar and then ran to our tents in a thunderstorm, the weather changes rapidly and can be cold
see you there

ParticipantHi all
Is anyone else staying at camping F1? It looks to about a 20 minute walk North East of the track.
I am driving from Frankfurt airport on Thursday, and should arrive at the campsite by 1pm and then head for the pit walk queue. As parking is free on Thursday is it best to drive or will it be really busy? Mind you if it is chucking it down I will probably drive anyway.
Any tips on how to blag/bribe my way into the paddock area? I have never been to spa before and I may not get there again so I got to at least try! Nearly managed it at Austin but did get into all of the hospitality areas on the Thursday.6th August 2015, 21:06 at 9:06 pm #302937Vince Fitter
ParticipantHello all
Is anyone else going to the concert at the track on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights? I have put a link below but would like to know if anyone else is going / has been before / knows of any other entertainment that is occurring in the evenings?
We are staying at the camp site L’Eau rouge so somewhere within staggering distance is preferable!!http://www.spagrandprix.com/en/pages/camping-divers-spa-francorchamps.aspx
Thanks in advance
