@npf1 I don’t know what you are talking about. That sounds like the greatest movie that could ever possibly exist. And I am dead serious :D
5th May 2013, 10:04 at 10:04 am #228523DamionShadowsParticipantHave any of you guys played RaceRoom? It’s free to download from Steam and it comes with free content with cars and tracks for purchase as well.
Here recently i’ve been playing Tomb Raider, and it’s every bit as good as PM said it was :D
24th January 2013, 6:01 at 6:01 am #224256DamionShadowsParticipantMy first ACTUAL racing game was an Al Unser Jr. Indycar game for PC way back in 98′ or so. I never played it much because I didn’t know anything about it.
What I consider my first true racing game was Gran Turismo 3. I instantly fell in love with the GT40 and the 787B, as well as the F687/S (while looking it up on the internet, I found out about Ayrton Senna).
GT3 is still the origin of my interest in racing.15th October 2012, 0:54 at 12:54 am #212011DamionShadowsParticipantThat’s such a great shot! It’s still hard for me to believe it’s a photo and not a painting!
11th October 2012, 0:38 at 12:38 am #211907DamionShadowsParticipantHaven’t McLaren already said they will start building their own engines after their current contract is up?

Wait. Do they realize this race is in TEXAS?
27th September 2012, 23:12 at 11:12 pm #211322DamionShadowsParticipantI’m a real F1 Fanatic because…
…well, that’s somewhat debatable considering lately i’ve been DVR-ing the races and watching them later. But every now and again I will still get up at stupid-o’clock to watch a race. That, and every time I see a commercial or read a bit of news about F1 from mainstream outlets I get a little giddy, hoping that F1 will finally breakthrough here in the US.
9th August 2012, 4:55 at 4:55 am #206855DamionShadowsParticipantI’ve played GT3-5, Forza 2-4, DIRT 2 and 3, and GTR Evolution (Race 07 with expansion packs). It’s not that GRID is any better or worse, it’s just different. I can understand why people like the cockpit view, because I use it in Forza 4 and GTR Evo. But it’s a shame that it comes down to that when GRID was never really a sim-racer anyways. I mostly play Forza for an “all around” experience, GTR Evo for a “serious” approach, and GRID for when I want to see how many P2 cars I can pass in a Corvette C5R around Spa :D. If GRID 2 is anything like its predecessor, then I could handle not have a cockpit view.
6th August 2012, 21:51 at 9:51 pm #206845DamionShadowsParticipantFINALLY!! I have been waiting for this game for years! Personally, I rank GRID up there with Forza 4 and Gran Turismo 4, so i’m stoked to hear the news. I just hope they have more LMP cars this time around :D
3rd July 2012, 4:14 at 4:14 am #204849DamionShadowsParticipantAutopolis, in Japan, wasn’t built specifically for Formula One, but was intended to hold a future F1 event. Even though they were a sponsor of the ’90 and ’91 Benetton team, the only International race held there was one WSC race. It’s still open but it holds mostly regional events like Super GT and such.
26th June 2012, 9:58 at 9:58 am #203997DamionShadowsParticipant“I’m going to be doing some TV commentating myself soon in the near future (details later!)”
@keithcollantine Ooooo, they call that a tease in TV!
@f1yankee You’re right, you can’t leave David Hobbs out! I can’t remember anything specific, but he has had some good ones over the years.
17th June 2012, 13:18 at 1:18 pm #203856DamionShadowsParticipant@necrodethmortem Supposedly the reason he got out so quickly was because of the shock hazard from the Hybrid system. I vaguely heard something about him waving off the corner workers to make sure it was safe.
13th June 2012, 11:09 at 11:09 am #203656DamionShadowsParticipantCan’t wait to see that Delta Wing in action. At Spa the Toyota’s were close in lap times to the Audi’s, but I guess they were just teasing because after that Audi shaved a few seconds off. Hopefully it will turn out to be a close race in the end.
12th June 2012, 20:17 at 8:17 pm #202107DamionShadowsParticipantI’ve wondered the same thing here lately. Granted, one of his retirements was self inflicted by hitting Senna, but Rosberg hasn’t had near the problems Schumacher has. It’s just strange that it hasn’t been such a big deal until this year, so maybe the car isn’t quiet what is was the past two years reliability wise. Or maybe Rosberg is as great as everyone seems to think >:l
12th June 2012, 12:44 at 12:44 pm #203693DamionShadowsParticipantEither way he took the interview, he was bound to alienate parts of his audience no matter what. A lot of people could care less about ANY kind of motorsport, much less Formula One.
@necrodethmortem Why should he ask him about his finger or Webber? I know why you would think that, but most Americans (whether through ignorance or arrogance) don’t watch “Euro racing” so they wouldn’t know about the personal aspects of Seb. What I believe he did is ask about the technical aspects to maybe get people interested in the sport. While he did sound somewhat ignorant about it, it’s kind of his style to dumb it down and make things sound a little foolish.
Overall, I enjoyed the interview. I didn’t know it was happening until 5 minutes before it happened, so I’m glad a caught it. I never realized the was the Letterman in Rahal-Letterman, so that’s cool.
