The early part of Nick Heidfeld’s F1 career was respectable, if unremarkable. But by the end of 2003 he was at something of a dead end, and found himself at Jordan, a team that was on its last legs. Despite that, he soon found himself allied to one of F1’s emerging powerhouse teams – BMW.

I spent the first day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed running around taking tons of pictures. Today I snapped a few more, but I also had a lot more time to talk to people and soak up the atmosphere.
There’s no Canadian Grand Prix on the calendar this year – but FOTA and many F1 fans hope the sport will return soon. F1 Fanatic guest writer Andrew Tsvyk looks back on one of the earliest world championship round in Canada.
