Qualified first or second on the grid in every race, not too bad. Damon Hill also did in ’96, 34 years after his dad became the WDC. The similarities keep on coming…

nico 1st or second in every race is a pretty special record – well done! Ricciardo, again the killer Q3 king… he did not look on the pace at all, and then put in another Ricciardo special… qualifying king of 2016. Great to see Kimi back in form

Oh hello Verstappen fan! Just remind me, who has more points, podiums, fastest laps and has won the qualifying battle?

Next year will be close between the two Red Bulls for sure.

Hamilton and Ricciardo have been immense in qually. We all know Rosberg would beat Alo or Button in qually and the gap between Nico and Lewis is as big as ever in qually. Nico is very underrated he the only driver I have feared in qually as Lewis teammate. Hopefully Ric gets some deserved wins next year I feel he will have his work cut out though, Ves is no Kvyat

Nice to see Kimi out qualify Vettel by 11-10 in 2016. Who would have thought that!

that is a great stat… I though Kimi was dead.. and he has come back so strong.

Totally agree. He was really revitalized mid-season, seemingly by his contract renewal. Arrivabene sure did a good thing re-signing him. Now if only he can crack the whip on that car…

Very encouraging to see that, indeed! I would love to see Kimi get another win or two before he retires. I’m cautiously optimistic about next year considering the cars will be more akin to the 2005-era levels of downforce when RAI was in his prime.

3tenths vs a qualiyer like Nico is some going we probably watching the quickest teammates in qually trim overall in the best car

What a lap from Hamilton!
3 tenth faster than Rosberg who is very fast in this excercise. That’s something.
