Timo Scheider claimed the 2008 DTM crown by winning the season finale at the Hockenheimring from rival Paul di Resta. Di Resta, who needed to beat Scheider to win the championship, finished just a couple of seconds behind his Audi rival.

Mathias Ekstrom wins as Audi thrash Mercedes (DTM)
Posted onThere was no repeat of last year’s cynical race-fixing by Audi – the team simply crushed rivals Mercedes at Zandvoort. Mathias Ekstrom led an Audi 1-2-3-4 followed by Timo Scheider, Tom Kristensen and Martin Tomcyk in a processional race.
Paffett, not winner Green, excluded from Norisring results (DTM)
Posted onMost people expected the stewards to get involved after the DTM’s annual visit to the Norisring. But to the surprise of many it was fifth placed man Gary Paffett, not winner Jamie Green, who was penalised. Paffett was disqualified from the final results. Did the stewards get the wrong British driver?
