  1. Said RedBull will easily be quickest here after FP1. Here are some of my favourite comments from that article:

you are so delusional , man
    almost 1 sec gap
i am a max fan , but this is too much to overcome @felix

The old order is restored. Mercedes 1 & 2 by almost a second. How they did it is a mystery to me (by making their engineering more “reliable”?). If this continues the rest of the season will be predictable – and thus boring. A shame really. @petterson

Championship is done, its back to 2014 level of difference. @illusive

Well, this is exceptionally disappointing. Yawn. @rocketpanda

And yet Merc-fans will still claim Red Bull have the fastest car. @barryfromdownunder

And you call yourself “racefans” hahaha educate yourself.

    1. Had a laugh going through those comments too. Hopefully Adam can stop yawning now.

    2. Well, I personally expected a relatively competitive red bull at austin by looking at the previous years, I just wasn’t sure they’d be quicker (and we still have to see the race pace) cause mercedes seems to have made gains in recent times.

I wish I had your confidence. Spouting the most egregious nonsense 90% of the time, only to climb on that hill of dung and crow triumphantly when you turn out to be right once.
      Class act.

If you were proven wrong and made to look a bit silly every time you posted something and then eventually, the clouds align and you end up being right, you’d celebrate about it no?

I know it may seem a bit sad but it’s a big thing – like when a kid says their first word. It may not seem an impressive feat to speak one word but for someone who has never done it before, it’s a moment to celebrate and remember.

          LMAO

        You’re talking about yourself, right?

Look mate, you’re already embarrassing yourself enough as it is, there’s no need to draw further attention to the fact that you have no friends by posting under different names to agree with yourself.

    4. Lol. You had this post prepared. Having this collection of quotes 2mins after ending of qualifying…

Good to see Lewis outqualifies Bottas by 0.3%. If he had done that by a mediocre 0.2% in Monaco he would have started on pole there.

      1. Why do you keep dragging up Monaco many races later? Can’t you let us enjoy the current race?

        1. He’s pointing out hamilton was the problem at monaco, mercedes was decent enough.

    5. The length some will go to to prove that it’s definitely the car, not the individual, is truly iconic. And by iconic I mean out of this world. Do you have other hobbies?

Honestly, I think it’s time for Keith to get rid of unregistered posting.

      1. Why? Some of the most nonsensical stuff comes from registered users.

    7. Good work. I have to say Rocketpanda’s doesn’t seem like it should be lumped with the others though.

    8. I’m quite happy to be remembered! Hahahahahaha I was very happy! Is this what it’s like to be in someone’s head rent free? Lol.

    9. What about the ones where they say Silverstone and Monza were racing incidents? They’re much better.

    10. This is the most childish comment I’ve ever read here.

      1. @warheart Seriously man, it was a hyperbole and light hearted. Obviously, Tom must have felt really offended that he had to “name and shame”.

    11. Tom, don’t blame them, not surprising as 1 week back we’ve seen these reports from various media sites:
Racefans: Mercedes’ gains come from set-up changes, not upgrades – Bottas
Racefans: Mercedes “looks like a car that can win championships” now
Racefans: Analysis: Why Mercedes can “live with” Hamilton’s Turkish GP points loss

It seems this season Mercedes played a reverse role, instead of downplaying the chance (during the domination years) now they go for creating the false hype, and probably they’ve turned up to qualifying engine mode in FP1 just to create the fear to Red Bull garage.

  2. Wow, Mercedes is clearly the fastest car out there. Red Bull had no chance… oh, wait.
PS: Alpine is hopeless with their Renault engine. They should consider Mercedes or Ferrari.

    1. Unlikely that a manufacturer gives up to become a customer!

  3. Drivers make the difference in s1 and s3.

Merc power did a mighty s2 though.

    1. Gotcha, but only in Hamilton’s Merc though? @trib4udi

    2. In my experience in quali (where we can see the times) hamilton often seems to make the difference in sector 3, in many tracks, sometimes he’s 3 tenths behind before sector 3 and then he almost gets pole etc, often gets purple there.

  4. Well done Ferrari. Could easily be overlooked with the show at the front, but that new power unit seems like the real deal. Could be good signs for 2022.

    1. Sainz will rebuild Ferrari.

  5. Danny Ric looking good. Intimidator homage helmet works. I hope he’s on the podium so we can hear a full interview tomorrow in a fake Texas accent.

  6. Nice grid. This is my bold prediction for the race: If Max and Lewis get through turn 1 cleanly and run 1-2 in the early stages, the driver in 2nd will win the race. Driver in first will go with a conservative 1-stop strategy, then getting undercut on one of the stints and having to commit to stay out or lose track position anyway. 2nd driver will pit twice which will turn out to be the right strategy and they will catch and pass on track for the win.

  7. Should be a great start and first couple of laps. Hamilton and Verstappen aside, Leclerc could upset some plans a little if he manages to split the RBs. Ricciardo will also be looking to a good start against Sainz.

  8. Well Tom, what about THESE comments I’m putting here?:

This makes Monza pretty much a racing incident.

    – JL

Both were clear cut racing incidents.

    – Gubstar

    Racing incident, same as Monza.

    – ifiamnotverymuchmistaken

Silverstone and Monza are both racing incidents in my opinion

    – Moshambles

Both Silverstone and this are racing incidents

    – Broke1984

Now I’m awaiting for Tom to bash me in 3, 2, 1…

    1. I don’t understand, you’re saying they’re racing incidents or not?

      1. No it’s a mockery
